About Brad
Education & Background
Brad graduated from Simon Fraser University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. After graduating, he worked in social services, managing homes for youth in care. Over the years, Brad gained extensive experience working with high-risk youth aged 8 to 18 and their families.
In 2022, Brad decided to further his education and is currently pursuing his Master’s in Clinical Counseling at City University of Seattle. Although he has a particular interest in working with athletes, Brad is excited to support people from all backgrounds and experiences.
Sports & Athletic Experience
Brad has a strong background in sports, both as an athlete and a coach. He played football at the Junior level in the Canadian Junior Football League (CJFL) with Langley, winning multiple Provincial championships and hosting the National championship twice. In 2013, he was honored with the CJFL Past Commissioners’ Award for his contributions to the community.
Following his time as a player, Brad transitioned into coaching Minor and Junior football in Langley for several years. Today, he continues to stay involved in sports as a competitive powerlifter, representing at an international level. His lifelong involvement in sports has given him a deep understanding of the mental side of performance in athletics, which informs his approach to counselling.
Continued Learning
Brad is dedicated to continuous learning. He has completed various courses and workshops on trauma and development, cultural safety and awareness, and suicide prevention and awareness.

What is Clinical Counselling?
Clinical counselling is a professional mental health service that helps individuals, couples, families, youth, and athletes work through emotional, psychological, and behavioural challenges. Grounded in evidence-based practices, clinical counsellors are trained to assess and treat a wide range of mental health concerns—such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and life transitions—within a safe, confidential, and supportive environment.
Why Consider Clinical Counselling?
Life can feel overwhelming, and everyone needs support at times. Whether you’re navigating personal struggles, recovering from injury, coping with the pressures of athletic performance, or simply need someone to talk to, clinical counselling offers a space to gain insight, build resilience, and improve overall well-being. Athletes, in particular, can benefit from mental health support during injury recovery and performance stress. Seeking help is not a sign of weakness—it’s a step toward healing, growth, and taking back control of your life. You don’t have to go through it alone. Reach out—your mental health matters.
Please Note: Our clinical counselling services are currently offered on an intern basis, with a reduced session rate of $55.00. These sessions cannot be billed to insurance providers or ICBC. The service will transition to registered clinical counselling in the fall, at which point insurance billing will be available.
